Swerving Car
A car was driving down the street when all of a sudden it started swerving. The car was going back and forth till someone with a cell phone called the police. A police officer pulled the car over.
A blonde rolls down the window and says, " Officer, I'm so glad you are here. I saw a tree in the road, then I saw another. So I had to swerve to keep from hitting it!"
The officer looks at her, then says, "Ma'am, that's your air freshener."
New Checking Account
The teenage son was having trouble mastering the fine points of balancing his new checking account.
"The bank returned the check you wrote to the sporting goods store," his mother said.
"Oh good," he replied, "Now I can use it to buy some stereo equipment!"
World Records
Highest dry air temperature endured
During US Air Force experiments held in 1960, the highest dry air temperature endured by heavily clothed volunteers was measured at 500̊F(260̊C). During this same tests, the highest dry air temperature endured by naked volunteers was measured at 400̊F (205̊C). Temperatures of 284̊F (140̊C) in saunas have been found quite bearable.
Longest time to remain standing motionless
Om Prakash Singh(India) stood motionless, except for an involuntary blinking, for 20 hours 10 minutes on August 13-14, 1997.
Longest time spent balancing on a tight rope
Jorge Ojeda-Guzman(USA) spent 205 days, from January 1 to July 25, 1993, on a wire 36 feet long and 35 feet above ground. During his time on a tight rope, he entertained crowds by walking, dancing, and balancing on a chair.
